Today’s Topic: Granted Favor
Scripture: “You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit.” – Job 10:12, NKJV
Today’s Word
The Old Testament character Job went through a difficult season. Everything was going great when the bottom dropped out. He suddenly lost his children, his business, and his body was covered with painful boils. His friends told him it must be because he had sinned.
What’s interesting is that Job honored God and lived a life of excellence. Job had good reasons to be negative and bitter, but in the midst of the difficulty, he was saying, “God, You have given me favor in the past, and I know favor is coming.” He didn’t make a judgment based on one season, but he kept declaring God’s favor.
When he passed the test, he came out with greater possessions, health, and joy. If you are in the middle of a difficulty, do as Job did. Don’t talk about how big your problem is, talk about how big your God is. Dare to declare His favor. Dare to declare, “I am blessed. I am healthy. I am strong. I am more than a conqueror.” Prophesy your future. Believe that you are coming out better.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that no matter what I go through, You are my redeemer and my vindicator. Thank You that You grant me life and favor and can bring me out of difficulties better off than I was before they showed up. I believe that You are in control in the tough times. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: What God has ordained for you no person can stop, no bad break, no sickness, no force of darkness.
When you’re in these holding seasons and you feel restricted, the key is to keep being your best where you are. It’s not up to you to bring yourself out, force doors to open. That’s going to cause you to get frustrated. At the right time, God will make it happen. He’ll bring the right people. He’ll open the doors. In the meantime, stay faithful where you are. Maybe it’s doing a small thing, when you know you have so much more in you.
Working in a position where you’re way overqualified, but the doors haven’t opened. You don’t know what God is up to. Pass the test where you are. Maybe it’s believing for a child that’s not improving. You’ve been praying, standing in faith, but it seems like he’s getting worse. Can I encourage you: God has need of your child. You’re in a holding season now, but God has already lined up the time to untie him, and release him into his purpose. In the meantime, keep being your best each day, honoring God, and you’re going to come into these destiny moments where suddenly things change in your favor.
